Myrskylä

The traditional opening of summer in Myrskylä brings together residents, vacationers, and other visitors to enjoy the beginning of summer. The summer opening promises a joyful market atmosphere and programs for all ages. More information can be found in the event calendar.

Syväjärvi beach is an official beach maintained by the municipality of Myrskylä. The beach has changing rooms, an outdoor toilet, two campfire spots, swings, and a slide. The bottom of the beach is fine sand, and from the marked area at the end of the pier, you can safely jump into the water.

Along the two-kilometer hiking trail, the hiker is rewarded with stunning forest landscapes. There are three rest stops with benches and trash bins along the route. Guidance to the trail is located along the Orimattilantie road, from where you drive up the paved road. At the top, there is guidance to the Lassen polku trail and the fireplace. You can walk the route in both directions. Follow the blue markings on the trees along the trail.

In the center of Myrskylä, amidst the beautiful scenery of Kirkkojärvi, there is a one-kilometer-long lakeside trail. Along the trail, there are information boards about Kirkkojärvi and its history, rest benches, and fitness equipment. The Kirkkojärvi lakeside trail also features the approximately 200-year-old Myrskylä Pine, which is the heart of Myrskylä. Start the trail from Tehtaankuja or Rantatie. Follow the blue markings along the trail.
