During the Christmas season of 2024, Porvoo’s very own elf, Fredrik Flodbåt, or more familiarly, Fredde, has thought of hiding in various surprising places around the Porvoo area. However, this year he doesn’t want to stay hidden! Instead, he hopes to give you a gift of goodwill in the form of a fairy tale!
Fredrik Flodbåt is very attached to his hometown and its warm-hearted, friendly residents. He enjoys playfully teasing them now and then. This year, Fredde has thought of hiding in various places around Porvoo, but this year he doesn’t want to stay hidden. Instead, he hopes that you will find him! Fredde has a gift of goodwill in the form of a fairy tale for you, and he can’t wait to share it with you.
Find Fredde the Elf in different locations around the Porvoo area and scan Fredde’s QR code. Behind the QR code, you’ll receive a magical story that appeals to both children and adults. Fredde can be found in five different places, and at each location, he has a different story to give as a gift. Fredde’s hiding spots will be revealed one by one so that all of Fredde’s stories can be found by December 1st.
The “Find Fredde” fairy tale adventure aims to share goodwill through stories, promote children’s literacy, and enable insights through storytelling. A shared story is a valuable shared moment.
The stories can be read and listened to in three languages: Finnish, Swedish, and English. The audio fairy tale is read by Fredde himself.
