The traditional Torchlight Procession for Runeberg Day

Experience the atmospheric torchlight procession with choir singing. The traditional torchlight procession departs from the Porvoo Volunteer Fire Brigade’s building at 5:20 PM. The procession route passes by Runeberg’s grave, through Runeberg Park, and ends at J. L. Runeberg’s home museum.

Torchlight Procession Schedule:

5:30 PM: Departure from the Volunteer Fire Brigade building, Kirkkokatu 2

6:00 PM: Choir singing at Runeberg Park

6:15 PM: Choir singing at Runeberg’s home museum

The torchlight procession is organized by the Porvoo Volunteer Fire Brigade and Runebergskören BSB, in collaboration with the cultural services of the City of Porvoo.
