In 2025, it will be 40 years since the release of Brothers in Arms. This landmark album, which has sold over 30 million copies, was among the first recorded specifically for the emerging CD market, utilizing new digital technology of the time.
Nothing for Money celebrates this anniversary with the No Arms, Only Guitars tour, featuring a program that includes several songs from the Brothers in Arms album.

Dire Straits Formed in London in the late 1970s amidst the punk explosion, Dire Straits rose from a pub band to a stadium-rock powerhouse, reaching the elite of the world’s most popular bands. Their distinctive sound, largely thanks to frontman Mark Knopfler, set them apart and remains instantly recognizable. The band officially disbanded in 1995, while Knopfler has continued his successful solo career to this day.
