Christmas opening in Old Porvoo

Since the 1950s,the entrepreneurs of Old Town Porvoo have organized this delicious event, that has the taste, sound and looks of a warm hearty Christmas atmosphere. ¨All for the delight to our coming visitors¨

This Year our Christmas start is baked with slightly new spices. It will open on Saturday the 30th of November at 3.45 pm at the Old Town’s Market square and starts with the singing accompanied with Santa and the Elves.
-At 4 pm our traditional Christmas parade starts from the backyard of Porvoo VPK – volunteer fire brigade -towards the old Town Hall.

We all invite you to visit our Christmas boutiques that are open until 6pm and the following Sunday from 11am till 5pm.

Christmas cafes and -restaurants full with cosy Christmas spirit invites you to taste their holiday menus and locally handmade artisan pastries not to forget steaming warm beverages.

A special welcome to all to the opening and to listen to Santa’s greetings and singing carols with the elves from Teatteri Soittorasia.

The event is organized by Vanhan Porvoon Kauppiasyhdistys- the shopkeepers society and Visit Porvoo as a partner at our event.
